1. What ClearPath is

ClearPath is a personal finance management tool designed for Canadian residents. It helps you track spending, manage budgets, plan debt repayment, and monitor registered accounts like TFSA, RRSP, and FHSA.

ClearPath provides financial organization and planning tools. It is not a licensed financial advisor, investment manager, tax preparer, or legal service. Nothing in the app should be taken as professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always speak with a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Canada to use ClearPath. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@clearpath.app and change your password from the Settings page.

3. Subscription and billing

ClearPath is a paid subscription service. You can start with a 7-day free trial. After your trial, your subscription automatically continues at the rate of the plan you selected (Monthly at $8.99 CAD/month, or Annual at $89.88 CAD/year).

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes where required. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period β€” you will retain full access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable Canadian consumer protection law.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed. After the trial, billing begins automatically unless you cancel.

Free trials are available to new customers only. ClearPath reserves the right to limit free trials to one per person or household.

5. Accuracy of financial information

Contribution room estimates for TFSA, RRSP, and FHSA shown in ClearPath are calculated based on information you enter and general CRA guidelines. These figures are estimates only and may not reflect your actual contribution room.

Always verify your exact TFSA room, RRSP deduction limit, and FHSA contribution room at canada.ca/my-cra-account before making contributions. Over-contributing to registered accounts can result in penalties from the Canada Revenue Agency β€” ClearPath is not responsible for any such penalties.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ClearPath to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features of the app
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or excessively query the service
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate any person or organization

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

7. Your data

You own all financial data you enter into ClearPath. We do not claim any ownership over your data. You can export or delete your data at any time from the Settings page.

By using ClearPath, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This licence ends when you delete your account.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep ClearPath available and working well, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, unexpected outages, or third-party service disruptions may temporarily affect availability. We will communicate planned maintenance in advance where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

ClearPath is provided β€œas is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, ClearPath Financial Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from decisions made based on information displayed in the app.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email and in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of ClearPath after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ClearPath will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
